Ps 62:1-6 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

Where is your expectation today? (Verse 5) Many look to the wrong places and wrong people, many expect what they can never receive. They want government to take care of them and solve all their problems, they want an unexpected windfall of money to solve all of their problems, they want doctors to solve all of their problems, they have high expectations. Alas, those ones are always left down at once or on down the line, but they are left down. That is not the case when we place out expectations in the Lord, when we look to Him, when we turn our lives over to Him, when are expectations are in the Lord. Find one person in the Bible that fully surrendered to the Lord, made Him their expectations, and walked away disappointed. You will not find one. Now we can apply that to our lives today and when we make Him our expectation, when we give Him full control of our lives, we are never left down.
