Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
KJV
One year for a gift my mother made me a bathrobe. It is big and it is warm and all these years later, at least 35, it still fits and it is still warm. On cold mornings I will put it on until the house warms up, I really like that old bathrobe. There is another robe that I have put on, it also has been provided by another and like the gift from my mother it also is a gift. I have put on the robe of righteousness provided for me free of charge by God through the blood of His dear Son. I had a funeral yesterday during which I was privileged to speak about salvation in Jesus Christ and while doing so my mind was taken to this verse, Isaiah 61:10. I stood before those people clothed in the garment of salvation, robed in righteousness, but not my own. What a wonderful thing to be born again, to be saved, I have not gotten over being saved and pray I never will. I stand today and you do as well if you are a Christian clothed by God.
