2 Tim 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

Another of the shorter verses in the Bible, but this one leads to the most important question that can ever be asked, are you ready to depart? Not depart for work, school, vacation, or any other place on this earth, but are you ready to depart this earth, are you ready for eternity? Paul knew the day of his death was approaching, he was a prisoner of Rome and would be executed, Paul knew he was about to die. Now we all know we will die one day, we just don’t know when. That is why it is so important to be ready to depart. Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal savior? If not then you are not ready to depart. You will still depart and your destination will be hell. If you are saved are you ready to depart? Are you living for the Lord, walking in obedience to Him? If not you are not ready to depart. What if you did depart today, are you ready?
