Isa 43:1-2 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
KJV
One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Isaiah chapter 43 and the first two verses reveal why. There are many unknowns in this life, many things that can cause one to fear and yet we know as a Christian we never go through them alone. If Jesus loved us enough to die for us then He surely loves us enough to walk with us through the struggles and trials of life. As Isaiah was given those words by the Holy Spirit of God he could remember Israel walking through the waters out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. The three had yet to walk into the fire of Babylon but they would and remain unharmed by the flames. Our God is a powerful God and stands with us always.
