Daily Devotions

Eccl 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

We live in a time when most people make no real effort to do anything right. I was in a restaurant the other day and the waitress stood a few feet from the table on her cell phone the entire time we were eating. She brought us our food, but never once asked if we wanted refills, never cleaned away any dishes. Now it could be said she did her job because she did bring our drinks, our food, and our check, but she did not do her job right and the tip we left reflected that. So many things are left halfway done, or not done right today, but that should not be so with the Christian. According to the Bible whatsoever we find to do, do it with all our might, in other words do it right. Whatever you do today, give it your best effort.
