Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
KJV
It can seem as if we are always waiting on something or someone. Be patient were words I heard often as I was growing up because I didn’t like waiting. But some things are worth the wait and so are some people. Jesus is always worth the wait, heaven will prove to be worth the wait. In the present we must learn to wait on the Lord in every situation, in every trial, we must learn to wait on the Lord. As David waited he found courage, as David waited he found strength. David found those things because he had learned that Jesus was worth the wait. We will find the same things as we learn to wait on the Lord.
