John 17:20
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
KJV
It is a comforting thought when you know that people are praying for you. As a pastor I value that, knowing that people pray for me. I have known and do know some who are great in prayer, people I know who have the ear of God and whose prayers move the hand of God. But think of this dear friend, Jesus prays for you. In His high priestly prayer Jesus prayed for the disciples, but he prayed “For them also which shall believe on me.” That includes us today, Jesus is praying for us, praying for you, praying for me. What a blessed truth that is, to know that the one whose every prayer was answered in the way He prayed is praying for us. To know that the one healed the lame, made the blind to see, caused the deaf to hear, is praying for us. If that doesn’t bring a blessing to your heart then something is very wrong. It should also move you to Him in prayer and to pray for others following His example.
