John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holy Spirit not only serves as the earnest of our salvation, He also indwells us to help us in our Christian walk. The word comforter in this verse means one called along side to help. God has not left the believer alone to try and live a life pleasing to Him, He has given one to help us, the Holy Spirit. One thing He will do is bring things to our remembrance. This is a great help as we recall, remember verses of Scripture when we need them the most. Of course we have to have heard them to remember them which is why it is so important to read your Bible daily. Praise God we have one to help us in our Christian walk, but He is a helper not one that does all things Himself, we have to do our part as well.
