Eccl 12:7-8
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

Why seek after God? Because all of life is empty without God in it. We have our beginning with God, all life begins with God. We will also have our ending before God when we stand in judgment, “The spirit shall return unto God.” What will we say to God if we have lived a life apart from Him, apart from Jesus Christ? The only thing we can say is that we have been guilty of rejecting Christ and then we will be cast into hell. But for those who turn to Him, for those who have sought out God, the judgment will be much different. We who have been born again will stand with thanks before our Savior, we will be welcomed into His presence, we will be welcomed into heaven. Our lives have not been empty, have not been meaningless, we have sought God out and will be rewarded for it. Seek God early.
