Daily Devotions

Luke 11:9-10 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

There is something inside me that likes to go into department stores and especially malls this time of year and watch people. Some are looking and looking at the different displays, picking things up, putting them down, moving on to the next rack of clothes or table, picking up more things, putting them down, all in search of a gift for wife or husband or parents or children. They can never seem to find what they are looking for. Not that way with Jesus Christ and His offer of self as a sacrifice for our sin. All we need do is open our eyes to our need and the Savior that is standing before us and He will be found. No one ever knocked seeking Jesus, seeking forgiveness, seeking salvation and was not permitted to enter in. And Jesus is not there just at this time of year, Jesus is there all the time. Don’t look beyond our Lord and Savior today, don’t look beyond Jesus Christ for He is the one your soul is searching for.
