Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
KJV
One of the most difficult things to do in this life is to wait. Our society is proof of that as we have drive through lanes for everything from banking to fast food to pharmacies and so on. It is reflected in the way people drive pushing the speed limit. We do not like to wait. Yet the Bible tells us that we do need to wait on the Lord. We need to be careful not to allow our impatience to enter into our spiritual life for our God moves according to His timing and not ours. We pray and we will get answers as that is also promised in the Bible, but those answers often come after we wait upon our God. One thing we need to remember is that our God is never late. When we become weary in waiting we need to rest in the truth that our strength will be renewed in Him, we will be lifted up, and we will have no need to fait. Wait on the Lord.
