Luke 5:12-13 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
KJV
Is there anything too hard for our Lord to do? Leprosy at that time was a hopeless and helpless situation. The only thing people could do was isolate the one with the leprosy and wait for them to die. There are many situations today which seem to be helpless and hopeless and so much so that even the people who claim to have a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ give up. What to do? Why not exercise the simple faith of that man in front of Jesus today? Why not believe as he did “Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” That man knew that Jesus could heal him if it was within the will of God and placed his life in the capable hands of Jesus that day. Are you willing to do what that man did? It does not grantee your trouble will be over as instantly as that man’s was but it does grantee that your Savior will be moving on your behalf. Is there anything more than that we could want?
