2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
KJV
The word accepted is found 29 times in the Bible, the word time 619 times, but they are found side by side only one time and that is above in our reading. Have you had that accepted time in your life? Are you accepted by God because you have trusted Jesus Christ to be your personal savior? Are you ready for time to come to an end? Most people live as if this world is going to last forever and that they will live forever. Global confects, Israel at war, disasters here, an economy on the verge of collasp, a government that has money to burn for other countries and none for those who have just lost everything here. What is the answer? The answer is in a name, a name sweeter than any other, a name that reveals the one who loves you so much He died on a cross and shed His blood for you, a name that lives because He lives, and a name in which you can find eternal salvation today. That name is Jesus and today needs to be your accepted day if you are not yet born again. Don’t put salvation off, confess to Jesus that you are a sinner today, repent from that sin, and ask Jesus to save you by washing your sin away. Today is the accepted day for there may not be a tomorrow for you or for me.
