13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Peter and John preached a straightforward message to the people who were gathered at the temple in Acts chapter three and when confronted by the religious leaders of Israel who rejected Jesus that message did not change. All that could be concluded by those religious leaders was that those two men had been with Jesus. We find that the message they gave to those people could not be spoken against. (Acts 4:14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.) A man was healed, a life was changed, and the message was Jesus and Jesus alone. That is still the message that people need to hear today, Jesus and Jesus alone. Is there another that can be trusted to forgive your sins? Is there another that can be trusted to give to you eternal life? Is there any other name that you can turn to? The one and only one we need today is the very same one that was needed in that day, Jesus. What of your life? Are you born again? Do you know where you will spend eternity? Jesus Christ is the one you need. Religion will not save you, good works will not save you, good intentions will not save you for there is none other name, only Jesus saves. Do you know Him today?
