September 6th, 2024 by Pastor SolleyGal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
KJV
Another way to combat weariness is to wait upon the Lord as we see above. But at times we do not “Wait upon the Lord” in the right way. This Hebrew word also means to accomplish something, to continue, to do something. When one is weary they are not to do less but do more. It is important to wait with patience and at the same time to wait by being active. When this preacher finds himself becoming weary in the way it is time to do more and not less. To do less allows one to dwell on the source of weariness and become even more weary. To do more allows one to find the strength from the Lord to mount up on those eagles wings. When I was a runner I found that when I tired it was time to push harder and a new energy was found. The same thing happens when we ask the Lord to help us and do more for Him. In the Bible more is better. (Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.) “So much the More”.
