Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
KJV
Today we celebrate the American worker as Labor Day symbolically ends the summer season and serves as a reward for hard work. The American dream was built on hard work as everyday people worked to get ahead, worked to get what they needed and thought they needed. America was built on hard work, on sacrifice. What of your spiritual labor? That will one day be acknowledged and rewarded as well but not by a federal holiday, by God. God is taking note of what we as born again believers are doing for Him in this world and God will not forget our work of faith a labor of love. (1 Thess 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;) What have you been doing for the Lord over the past year? Would you be willing to have God open the book of your labor for Him today? Many of the people who will celebrate Labor Day do not work, depend on others to provide for them, look to the government to take care of them and while there are some who can’t work many choose not to. What of your work for the Lord today? Are you depending on others to do what you could be doing for the Lord? God wants us to be busy for Him and God will reward us for our labor in His name. What kind of reward is waiting for you?
