This man, after Jesus cast out the demons, after he was saved by Jesus Christ, wanted to serve the one who had saved him and gave him a new life. Service should follow salvation and the Bible tells us that is only reasonable. But what can we do for our Savior? Become a preacher, a missionary, an evangelist, go to Bible college? Some will be called to do those things and if that is what God calls you to do you need to obey the call of God. But most will be called to do what that man was called to do, just tell others about Jesus and what He has done for us. The man was not called to lave home, not called to be an apostle, just tell others what Jesus had done for him. Are we doing that simplest of things for our Lord? Who have you talked to about Jesus lately? Who have you shared the gospel with? The man who was saved from a helpless and hopeless condition by Jesus was willing to tell what Jesus did for him. Are you willing to tell others about the one who saved you?
