The number forty featured this morning because that is the number of campers we expect to welcome in a few hours with two possibly joining later in the week. In each of our readings this morning we see the Lord doing a great work. Giving the Law to Moses, sustaining Elijah, and the Holy Spirit leading Jesus. We are asking our God to do a great work for us this coming week. We know that each of those in our readings this morning were attacked by Satan and that each of them was given a victory by our God and that is what we are asking for today, for God to give victory today and throughout this week. Please hold us up in your prayers as we know the enemy will be active. These are the verses I am praying for the week. (1 Cor 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.)
