1 Cor 3:11-16 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
KJV
The last fire of the week points to a judgment and reward that takes place in heaven for those who have kept their fire burning for the Lord in this world. (Verse 14) This is not the last fire that will ever take place, not the Great White Throne Judgment when all unbelievers of every age will be cast for eternity into the Lake of Fire. This judgement is for believers in Christ and the works they laid up for the Lord while in this world. It will take effort, sacrifice, and the putting off of self and the world to keep our fire burning for the Lord right now, but it will be worth it all to be rewarded in heaven. Keep in mind dear brother and sister in Christ that we are the temple of God, that God the Holy Spirit resides within us and we are to keep that temple pure. We are to keep our light burning and never let the fire go out. How else can those who are lost and bound for an eternal hell see Jesus Christ in this world today? It must be through your light and fire for the Lord. Keep the fire burning.
