Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

We are as born again believers in Christ responsible for keeping that fire burning within, but we are not left alone to accomplish that, we have the Holy Ghost within. At the moment of salvation the Holy Ghost indwells the believer in Christ, we have that comforter who is called along side to help. God could have used another emblem to represent the Holy Ghost in our text, but God chose to use fire. When we are yielded to the Holy Ghost, who does indwell us and desires to fill us, we will see the fire burning brightly within. The Holy Ghost does not indwell us to make no difference in our lives, does not come as fire to make no difference in our lives, He works to keep that fire burning brightly within the child of God. Is your fire burning brightly today? Many things in this world are used by Satan to quench that fire. Health problems, financial problems, family problems, things we are face from time to time and things Satan uses against us. But praise God for the Holy Ghost within who will aid us in keeping that fire burning brightly. Get in your Bible this morning, get before God in prayer, and ask for the Holy Ghost to poke up the embers and get that fire within burning once again.
