Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Leading up to Memorial Day we have been looking at those who deserve honor in our lives. We end the week with the one who deserves honor above all others, the one who is to be honored first in our lives. (Phil 2:9-12 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.) Honor is to first be give to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for without Christ we have nothing in this world and certainly nothing in the world to come. Jesus is exalted today, has a name above every name today, is Lord today over all and we need to bow and give Him honor today. The things named in Phil 2:9-12 will not be His one day, they are His right now. Let Christ be lifted up today, exalted today, praised today and worshiped today. Our honor needs be directed towards the Lord Jesus Christ. Is He your savior today? Then honor Him with your life.
