Rev 21:1-2 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
KJV
Who can enter this beautiful city? Let us begin with who cannot enter in. (Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.) A city free of all such ones will be a city eternal. Note the first two things in this verse, the fearful and unbelieving. The unbelieving points to those who have never trusted Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone for their eternal salvation. Only those born again may enter in. Jesus said that one “Must be born again”. When one is born again it takes away the greatest fear of man, death and hell. The fearful and the unbeliever in the above verse are the same. Are you looking for that city made above today? Many who say yes to that question have never been saved. To look for something does not qualify one to receive it. This city is not open to all so be sure you have done all you need to do to enter in and all you need to do is trust Jesus Christ to save you? Have you acknowledged that you are a sinner? Do you know you can do nothing to change that? Do you know Jesus paid the price for your sins on the cross and His blood can wash away those sins? Have you asked Jesus to forgive and save you? That is our part.
