December 5th, 2024 by Pastor SolleyIsa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
KJV
What a wonderful verse. I am now watching snow fall and even in the darkness it looks so beautiful and I know I will be in awe in just a few hours of God’s creation and how beautiful the new fallen snow will be. Each snow fall I am reminded of the above verse. Yesterday the ground was brown, trees bare, mud here and there, and today everything will look so clean, so full and perfect. Just as our lives when the blood of Jesus washes away our sin. Our sins stand out, they are not pretty to look at, they make everything dirty and leave us in a helpless condition. But Jesus shed His precious blood and there is power in that blood to wash away our sins and not only to wash them away but to make us as white as the new fallen snow. Praise to the Lamb of God who was willing to give His life and shed His blood so that all might be clean. But you must see your sin, you must confess your sin to Him, you must repent and ask Jesus to forgive and save you. When that happens you become a part of Isaiah 1:18. Praise God for the snow.
