Ps 9:1-2 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
KJV
I was talking to an individual some time ago who was going through a difficult time and they expressed to me that they did not have one thing to be thankful for. What a terrible state of mind that must be, to think that there is not one thing to be thankful for. There are certainly times when we all are discouraged, brokenhearted, can become depressed and even fooled by Satan that we have nothing to be thankful for. It is at those times we need look up and praise our Lord and Savior for all that He has done for us. I have little to be thankful for today myself, so let me list a few. I have through Jesus Christ eternal life. I have a mansion waiting for me in heaven one day. I have one that sticks closer than a brother residing within me. I have the ear of God all of the time in prayer. I have one standing and making intercession for me in the throne room of heaven. I have a blessed hope that my Savior is coming for me one day. I have a peace that goes beyond even my own understanding when I give all my burdens and fears to my Savior. I have new mercies every day. I have grace and strength promised for every trial of life. That just a short list. I wonder if I have anything to be thankful for today?
