Mark 2:1-5 And again he entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

How great is our burden for the lost today? We meet in church, we sing the hymns, we listen to the message, and then we go home. But what of those who do not know Jesus as their personal savior? Would we go and get them to bring them in? Would we carry them if need be to the house where Jesus was? Would we make a way to climb to the roof and break it up if need be? Would we gently lower them to the place where Jesus was? Those unnamed in our reading did all those things so one in need could meet Jesus? How great is our burden for the lost today? Will you take the time to talk to one about the Lord? Will you invite one to come to church with you? Do you pray for those you know who are lost? What if the four would have left that man where he was? What if we decide to leave those lost in sin where they are?
