2 Thess 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
KJV
This word, weary, appears only three times in the New Testament and these last two in a command for the born again believer to not be weary in well doing. We can at times become weary in this world. I was speaking with a dear saint of God recently and they commented on all the things that have taken place in my family lately, things that are just a part of life, and how one keeps from becoming weary in this world. I was sitting with another in a hospital waiting room and they said they were “Getting weary sitting in hospitals”. We can become weary in the way, but we never need be weary of the way. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” And then we find that we are “ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” How could anyone get weary of the way when Jesus has bought us with His own shed blood and we then are made righteous in Him and have a perfect redemption? Christian, when you feel weary in the way think of what we have when we are “Of Christ” when we know Christ Jesus as our personal savior from sin, death, hell, and this present world. The way, the truth, and the life stands before you today, rejoice then in Christ and allow Him to be your cure for weariness in this world.
