Eph 3:14-17 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

With Father’s Day approaching some things about family this week. The word family is found 123 times in the Bible and God has much to say about the family. But the only place the word family is found in the New Testament is on Eph 3:15 and that tells us something as well. Before anything else we need to be sure that we are found in the family of God. No man or women is born into this world a part of the family of God. Some speak of the universal fatherhood of God and that is a lie of Satan. God loves all, Jesus gave His life for all, God is willing and able to save all, but all are not a part of the family of God. We are born in sin and according to the Bible a child of Satan. We are born enemies of God. The only way to become a part of God’s family is by a new birth, by being born again. (John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.) To be born again one must realize that he or she is lost in sin, know there is nothing they can do about that, know that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for that sin, confess before God that we are sinners, repent, and ask in faith Jesus Christ to save and forgive us. Jesus is the one and only way to have sins forgiven, the one and only doorway to heaven. When one is born again they become part of the family of God. Are you saved today, have you been born again? Be sure you are part of the family of God.
