1 Thess 1:7-10 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

What type of example will you be today? Will you have the testimony that you have turned from the world and to Jesus Christ? The believers addressed above had that type of example. (Verse 9) It most certainly had an influence on those close to them as one by one they turned to Christ and soon that was the testimony of the whole body of believers. But that was not the end as their example influenced all believers in surrounding areas. (Verses 7 – 8) We never know how far a Godly example will reach. We certainly need to be an example to those close to us, to family and friends and so on. But like ripples on a pond when even the smallest of stones are cast in that example will spread out. We are being watched by those close to us and also by those far away and what we do for Christ, the decisions that we make, our manner of life serves as an example. What will your example do for others today? Will it draw the lost to Christ, strengthen and encourage the believers, or will it help keep others in the world we need to be turning away from. What type of example will you be today?
