Rev 21:21-24 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Going back to the city built above this morning, to the city that will be the eternal home of each and every born again believer in Jesus Christ. Reading this entire chapter one is overwhelmed by the beauty of this heavenly city and we should be. Verse twenty two and the reference to a temple remind me of Solomon’s temple built for Jehovah and the beauty of that temple. But we find this city has no temple, why? Because Jesus is there and Jesus is all that we need. No temple, no sun, no moon, Jesus is all that is needed. I say that to ask if Jesus is the light of your life today? Is Jesus all you need today is not a question it is a statement. He needs to be your all, He needs to be the light of your life, He needs to fill all of you just as His presence filled that Old Testament temple and His presence fills our heavenly city. Do you know Him today, is He your savior today, is Jesus the one who fills you?
