Matt 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:30-31 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

No mother like Mary. No, she was not and is not the mother of God. There are no others who became mothers like Mary did. No other mother like Mary in that regard. But all mothers should consider themselves chosen by God and given a great responsibility by God. What of that child you brought into this world or will one day being into this world? Does God have a plan and purpose for the life of that child? Yes. Is that child important to God? Yes. And to whom has God intrusted the care of that child not only physically but spiritually as well? The mother. Dad is the head, but mom will spend more time with that child than anybody else. That child will look to mom for encouragement, comfort, guidance, protection, and instruction more than anyone else. Mary understood that responsibility. (Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.) Mary than fulfilled that responsibility. Are you? We need Godly mothers today.
