Daily Devotions

1 Peter 1:18
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
KJV
What price then redemption? Something is found that we believe worth buying back, what price will be paid for it? The price of our redemption is blood, the price of our redemption is a life. We have seen that we are worthless, that there is nothing good in us whatsoever, yet a very high price tag is placed upon us. Who would pay such a price? Who could pay such a price? There is only one the sinless Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ! And we have been redeemed with something that will never fade away, something that will last for all eternity, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Think about that today, meditate upon it, and then praise and thank God for it and for Jesus Christ.
I will be travelling tomorrow and will not be able to place a devotional on the web site but there is one more point to our theme this week of redemption. To hear it I will be speaking about redemption at Cherry Corner on Sunday.
