Luke 17:26-29 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

I think of this passage of Scripture just about every year on this day, “Black Friday”, as people stand in line for hours waiting for a store to open, as they rush in to get the “Big buy” they were waiting for. Every year there are riots at some stores, fights and injuries are now the norm on this day. Stores now opening on Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon or evening, “Black Friday” has become the holiday and Thanksgiving has been pushed aside. All the while America is fast headed for judgment, just as Sodom was, just as in the day of the flood. I had someone get very angry at me and tell me in no uncertain terms how wrong I was and judgmental because I will not accept homosexual marriage just a few days ago. People buy and sell, no idea of the state of America, their own lives, or the judgment that is coming. Black Friday is a picture of that to me. Understand I don’t think it wrong to shop today, to take advantage of the sales, but it is so very wrong to push God aside, forget about any type of relationship with Him through Christ, and live as if there is no judgment coming, no account to be given. This is really a Black Friday in the spiritual condition of our nations and the hearts of people.
